Petals of the infinite

Petals of the infinite unfold above the crown

those around the heart

already dropped away

I pray to be made a vessel for this peace.

A lotus flowers only through its hollow roots

so may all pass through, without obstruction

peace requires a certain kind of emptying of mind

up from the mud, the mind howls at its hollowing.

Neti. Neti. Neti.

may all we are not,

drop away like rain.

Tat Va Masi,

may all we are,

be illuminated.

A lotus of infinite petals,

I am but the shade of your peace

in which others may rest

so they too, may become a resting shade.

On and on, we go.
